Joliet Cursillo
    The workshop is set for 1/14/12 at 9am at St. Pet's.  We are calling all
    Cursillistas and their groups to come together to make a list of all the candidates
    that they would like to bring to Cursillo in 2012, and formulate a plan or
    strategy to work as a group or individually to make, be and bring people to
    encounter Christ.  We would like all Cursillistas to commit to bringing at least
    one new friend to Christ through Cursillo each year - not a rule, just a request to
    make a deliberate attempt to build up the Kingdom, personally.  We will all pray
    over the final list of potential candidates that is generated that day.

    We will also work in pairs to develop a solid explanation as to why the candidate
    should consider a Cursillo.  Did you ever have a conversation about Cursillo
    with someone and after leaving do a "V-8" and say, "I wish I would have
    said ... !"  Evangelization is too important to wing it!  We will try to keep it to a  
    minute or two, and it can include witnessing, scripture, and literature.  We want
    every Cursillista to be well-prepared to give a "reason for the hope that is in
    them."  Think about this:  We prepare, share and critique every one of the
    weekend talks to make sure that all of the points are covered and presented in a
    convincing fashion - shouldn't we take the same approach for the most
    important talk of all, yours to the potential candidate??  At the end, all will be
    invited to share their results in 2 minutes or less.  Of course, most of this could
    be prepared ahead of the gathering on 1/14/12.  We will also have a short
    presentation on our plan for Pre-Cursillo in the diocese and review our
    sponsoring requirements.  3 Hours and 15 minutes max and you're back on the
    road to Emmaus!

    Please talk to your group and all of your Cursillo friends to make plans to
    attend.  This will be a very fun morning.  Coffee, juice, donuts, etc. will be
    provided, so please bring a few dollars to donate if possible.  Ultreya!
