I think that this section of the book revealed a turning point- M.T. decided that she would accept everything from God as coming directly from His hands, and therefore, very good. So even though she did not understand, she decided to embrace the darkness and be joyful about it.(pg.210-212) I am getting a taste of this concept now as I continue on my 2010 diet: One of my favorite things to do is go out to dinner with Debi and have a few Manhattens, so I can tell her how much I know about everything. Now I get more joy out of not having them and saving the calories and losing weight. I want to eat and drink like Jesus. She explained the joy of Suffering on p.228, and I know that if I can believe this in my heart, I could be a saint, so I have to keep praying and living it. I want to learn to love the cross
