Announcing our new Joliet Cursillo Spiritual Advisor

We received the exciting news that Bishop Hicks has appointed Deacon Joe O’Donnell to be our Diocesan Cursillo Spiritual Advisor! We are so happy to have Deacon Joe providing spiritual leadership for our movement.

On a similar note, I’d like to express my deep appreciation for our outgoing Spiritual Advisor, Deacon Vic Puscas. Deacon Vic has been a tireless servant on our Secretariat team for the past eight years and he has played a vital role in leading us through the pandemic and back to a vibrant, Holy Spirit filled movement, that continues to introduce and guide people to a life of Piety, Study and Apostolic Action. Thank you, Deacon Vic!!

Deacon Joe O’Donnell is from Our Lady of Peace Parish, Darien. Dn. Joe was ordained in 2022 and serves at his parish in Darien.  He has been on Secretariat as Assistant Spiritual Director for two years assisting Deacon Vic Puscas.  Dn. Joe has served on many men’s and women’s weekends over the years. Deacon Joe’s wife is Kerry who has recently served as Rectora for the Women’s 134th.

We also announce that Deacon Michael Murphy will begin serving as Assistant Spiritual Advisor for the Joliet Cursillo Movement. Deacon Mike serves at St Isaac Jogues in Hinsdale and is married to Annmarie Murphy who is our Pre-Cursillo Chair. Welcome, Deacon Michael!!!

Join me in praying for our new leadership for Joliet Cursillo!  Welcome Deacons Joe and Michael.

De Colores!

John (“YT”) Whitehouse, Diocesan Cursillo Coordinator
