Women’s 121st Cursillo Weekend
To the Fourth Day Community:
I am pleased to announce that Jennifer Hoge has accepted the call to be Rectora of the Joliet Cursillo’s 121st Women’s Weekend. The Weekend will be held from Thursday August 6th through Sunday August 9th at the Portiuncula Center for Prayer in Frankfort, IL.
Jennifer made her Cursillo in April 2004 on the Women’s 91st Weekend. She subsequently served on three Weekend teams.
Jennifer and her husband Dale are parishioners and staff members of St. Joseph Parish in Bradley, IL. She currently serves as Religious Education Coordinator for the parish.
“It is with thanksgiving and great honor that I say ‘Yes My Lord!’ to His call to lead the Women’s 121st Cursillo Weekend in August,” declared Jennifer. “Although I am a little anxious and pray that I might lead with the same amount of grace as other Rectora’s, I welcome this journey with a humble heart and am excited to serve with my fellow sisters in Christ.
“I ask for your prayers as our team joins together in formation and that the will of God works through us as we joyfully share the love and peace of the Holy Spirit with our candidates. God is good!”

“May the Holy Spirit guide Jennifer, the Team, and all future candidates as well as draw them into a deeper friendship with our Lord, and may the intercession of St. Paul, the patron of the Cursillo Movement, be a source of strength for proclaiming the Good News.”
Jennifer has discerned a passage from John’s Gospel as her Scripture verse for the Weekend.
It was not you who chose me, but I who chose you and appointed you to go bear fruit that will remain. This I command you: Love one another.
John 15: 16-17
Now would be a good time to begin to discern if there is someone in your life you would like to invite to attend this Weekend. The most recent Men’s and Women’s Weekends were completely filled, so it is never too early to begin the conversation with your potential candidate and God about the Weekend.
